There are many misconceptions about Black Magic. Some people claim that it is real and that it can be used to harm others, while others claim that Black Magic is not real. People are misled to resort to Black Magic for quick and unethical gains. Those who feel they are being attacked by Black Magic are also misled into false solutions. This article dispels many such misconceptions and attempts to guide people in the right way. We need to have a clear understanding of what black magic is; whether it is real or imagined and how one can protect themselves from it.
What is Black Magic?
In a broad sense, black magic is an intention and action of someone to harm another person.
This harm can be at different levels — emotional, physical, financial, etc. Most such actions to harm others are in the physical realm and within our perception levels. We can correlate the consequences (harm to others) with the causes (actions performed to harm others).
But there are also instances where we cannot perceive such actions using our normal senses because these are carried out on a more subtle level of perception, beyond the gross physical plane. More precisely, the term black magic refers to actions intended to harm another person in the form of magic spells or esoteric practices, with both the cause and effect occurring in the non-physical plane.
Just as there are subtle and unseen energy frequencies which cannot be perceived by our normal senses, but can be observed by specialized instruments (for example, radio frequencies), there are also invisible energy channels which influence events, emotions, or our own sense of being.
Those who gain a certain level of mastery over such subtle energy channels can direct this energy for the benefit or harm of another person. Those who have access to this power but do not have control over it may misdirect it, which is also potentially harmful.
Energy is neutral; it is indifferent. For example, fire can be used for constructive purposes such as cooking but also for destructive purposes, such as burning down someone’s home. Fire is a form of energy, and it is indifferent towards how people use it. It is called black magic when one can channel the unseen forces of nature to cause harm to someone else.
Cure from Black Magic
So, what should one do if they believe they are targeted by black magic? How can one remove the potential adverse effects of black magic?
When one is under a black magic attack, perceived or real, panic or desperation tends to set in as the dominant state of mind. In that confused state, a person may approach the many charlatans claiming to have the ability to help remove the effects of black magic. Generally speaking, these fraudsters are only interested in your money. Don’t fall for that.
The principle of black magic works both ways. If a person believes that another person can harm them through whichever means, they have already given permission for harm to befall on them. If a person believes that another person can heal them and cure them, that too becomes a reality. In either case, it is the inner core of the individual that is allowing themselves to either be harmed or cured.
Often, it is our own fears and insecurities which cause us to go into a negative spiral. The symbolism of black magic and magic spells instills and activates the negative energies within us which act against us.
The African Shaman who cures a person of an ailment has tapped into the belief system of the patient that they can be cured. The black magic practitioner who harms a person is relying on the same principle: the belief system of the victim that they can be harmed.
While it may be possible that someone can channel the unseen forces of nature to harm others, nature provides its own safeguards. A person will not become a victim of black magic unless they consciously or unconsciously give consent. In other words, if a person has full faith in their Self, they cannot be subjected to black magic attacks. There is an old African saying:
When there is no enemy within, the enemies outside cannot hurt you
The fundamental principle to protect oneself from black magic attacks and reverse its effects is this: when one raises their energy vibrations to a high-level, they cannot fall victim to the negative energies of black magic.
The first and most important step is to tell yourself and assure yourself, that you are not giving permission for the black magic energies to affect you. Make a resolution within your inner self that you will not give implicit or explicit permission for black magic spells to harm you. This step alone will help dissipate the negative energy that has built up inside of you.
Pratyangira Devi and Black Magic
People often ask us the following questions: “can Pratyangira Devi cure me from or remove black magic attacks?” and even “can I use Pratyangira mantras to perform black magic or cast magic spells against others?”
These questions make us wonder why people associate Sri Maha Pratyangira Devi with black magic. Where is the source of this confusion? And, most importantly, what is the truth?
The guidance from Mother Pratyangira to us is very clear: She is the all-powerful Goddess, the giver of Moksha, liberation. She is the protector of Dharma or Righteousness and, therefore, how can the She be associated with black magic?
Pratyangira Devi is also known as Atharvana Bhadrakali, or the protector of Atharva Veda, one of the four Vedas of the Indian Hindu tradition. There is a false notion that Atharva Veda contains mantras and chants that can be used to control or harm other people. This could be one reason why the Divine Mother Pratyangira is thought to be associated with black magic.
Additionally, there is a series of Mantras of Mother Pratyangira that ask Her to destroy one’s enemies without a trace. People interpret these mantras as though the Mother’s energy can be used as an instrument to harm other people (enemies).
On the contrary, the mantras are referring to one’s internal enemies like fear, greed, insecurity, pride, envy, etc. When one’s internal enemies are identified, isolated and destroyed , a person elevates themselves to higher energy vibrations. In such a state, it is not possible for any force of nature to harm them internally. No black magic practitioner would have power over or the ability to hurt such a person.
Pratyangira Devi is the embodiment of Dharma (righteousness), Satya (truth) and impeccable justice. She takes a fierce form to keep Adharma (unrighteousness) under check and to restore Dharma (righteousness).
Pratyangira energy is a very potent force. The laws and forces of nature ensure that this power will not be used for destructive purposes. The Indian epic Ramayana illustrates this principle. Indrajit (Ravana’s son) tries to gain mastery of Pratyangira energy to use it for evil purposes, but his efforts are futile.
Pratyangira Devi’s energy is very powerful in repelling negative energy that one might associate with black magic attacks. Look at a picture of the Devi and heartfully ask Her to protect you. Mentally chant the Mother’s beej mantra, Ksham. Just asking Her for protection will have an immediate and positive effect.
The ultimate solution is to raise your own energy vibrations. You can do this by doing the Ksham Meditation and tuning yourself to the energies of the Divine Mother Pratyangira. You can join the online group Ksham Meditation every New Moon and Full Moon, the days that are replete with the cosmic energies of Sri Maha Pratyangira Devi. Meditating with the Devi's beejakshara Ksham on these auspicious days along with Amma and Swami and the group amplifies the energies which helps create an energy shield.
May you be able to channel your inner energy, which already exists within you, to elevate yourself so that you are unaffected by black magic. Om Shanti.
